Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Stonewall County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained as needed to respond and maintain the related correspondence. It is not shared outside the site operation unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the servers may automatically receive standard technical and usage details:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help measure traffic, page use, and navigation patterns. Analytics providers may combine this information into site-level reports. A browser can block or remove cookies, although doing so may change how some functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating, maintaining, and improving site performance
- Routing a submitted query to the selected search provider
- Measuring which content visitors use
- Detecting errors and resolving technical problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect user interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Stonewall County Court Docket does not host, maintain, sell, or compile a database of personal case information or court dockets. It publishes directions to records held by the combined District / County Clerk, the 39th Judicial District Court, lower courts, the county-linked LGS system, and re:SearchTX. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted to one of those tools is governed by that provider's privacy policy. Each provider controls its retention, processing, and disclosure practices. Review those terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Stonewall County offices, Texas courts, LGS, re:SearchTX, legal resources, or outside search tools. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their systems to measure activity across websites or select targeted ads. Their tracking practices are outside this site's control.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be received by:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information under the site's control. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so protection against every loss, misuse, or unauthorized access cannot be promised.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A verified report that a minor supplied such data will be handled with a request to delete it.
Your Data Rights
Rights depend on the law that applies to the visitor and the processing. Texas consumer-protection and privacy law may provide additional rights. The Texas Public Information Act concerns government records and does not govern this private site's visitor data; Texas judicial records also follow court rules and other applicable law. Subject to lawful limits, a visitor may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
